Short-Term Disability Plan

Voluntary Short-Term Disability insurance is offered through MetLife. The working
plan benefit is 60% of basic weekly earnings up to a maximum of $1,500 per week. Benefits are paid after a waiting period of 14 days for an accident and 14 days for sickness for up to 13 weeks or 26 weeks.

If you are unable to work because of a covered disability, Long Term Disability insurances replaces a portion of your income. After your claim is approved, you will receive a monthly check for your benefits that helps you pay everyday expenses like your mortgage or rent, childcare and groceries.
